I am posting this after having 30 minutes of the following:

followed by 30 minutes of silence where I decided to then call up Virgin Media using my phone. I have been having some issues you see regarding my connection, what issues?

Over the last 3 years there have been various outages, lasting mostly over or up to a month, outages can be defined as a connection much like the above or it just plain not working. I have complained on various occasions about the internet connection and the quality and having been with them in different forms for around 20 years I would expect some form of service which is not like what we have been getting from them.

We have a decent package from them, we pay more than new customers but we decide to stay with Virgin Media because of various reasons. Personally I think because no matter what they do they will not equal the level of cunt that is Murdoch.

I have tweeted this in various places and I am not too concerned with the take up, but I have asked someone to call me tomorrow anyway in case they want to discuss the issues. If they do, fantastic! If they do not then expect a bit more dedication on my part to ensuring that this gets heard about.

But which is the one? Truth be told it is all about audience. Lets start with this one, I decided to use Tumblr as a platform for my blag because wordpress was a bit too fancy, and required updating which is something which is against my personal thoughts on how web applications should work and blogger was not neutral enough.

Some day tumblr may be taken over by a big company or it is already owned by a big company but it works for what I want to do which is to put my thoughts on a page and for this page to be visible to all. I am probably using tumblr badly, a lot of people compare it apparently to reddit where I am guessing the tags are used as subreddits, this sounds cool and I might explore it at some point but for now I will not take advantage of the “reblogging” and the following bit unless I feel like going in that direction.

This leads me to the original point of this post which is to formally declare the platforms I intend to use and what will be posted on there!

Twitter will have all my tumblr posts and will be used for “what I am doing now” - This will be posted to Facebook

Facebook posts will stay on facebook, this is traditionally personal stuff

Google + will be for links I find cool and also I will link this to it.

Linkedin will be for anything which from a business/career perspective I am interested in and I will manually post relevent tumblr posts to it.
